[Chris:]
No, I don't really. The _real_ free market I don't think is around anywhere
anymore because people know it leads to hell on earth. However I'm actually
talking about the basic values that make up the market as such, and in the
US those values are far more central than here.

Platt:
> Who is to say that someone's quest for knowledge will undermine society?

Chris:
I know what you're getting at Platt, you want to say that if you decide
something and put it down as a low that's too static and devoid of Dynamic
etc etc. But it would be that same as what you are speaking for today -
intellectually arisen laws that guide society. And Democracy.

Platt:
> What is the core of Marxism?

Chris:
The core of Marxism is the idea that we humans can reorganise ourselves and
the way we live, the way our society is made up. The idea is that we can
make the shift from a human society that is based on and circles around the
accumulation of material wealth to one where this is not a goal in itself.
At the core lies the idea that if we can change the social norms (the social
static values) in that society, then we can create a better future for
humanity. The idea is a balanced MOQ society, where there is balance between
the levels, but where they are ordered hierarchal just the way they should,
and thus not a society where social level values such as profit is allowed
to dictate how people can develop their understanding of things.

Chris:
>> And please, no Quotes. Pirsig is not Jesus.

Platt:
> Are you saying Pirsig doesn't understand his own metaphysics?

Chris:
I'm saying "What most people here doesn't seem to understand is that Lila
(and ZMM) is a book where the foundation of a philosophy is laid. In between
that there is
a lot of examples of how the author tries to place things he sees around him
within the frames of that philosophy - but that - no matter how nicely
written - is only examples from one mans view. The MOQ is much, much larger
than both Lila, ZMM and Mr Pirsig himself." - to Quote myself.

A question for you then:

Do you think that anything can BE Dynamic?
