Here's a video of Jurg Kiener, CEO of Swiss Asia Capital.
on a U.S. news report yesterday, Tuesday October 7, 2008. I
bring this up to point out what many other reports have been
saying since this economic crisis came about in the last few weeks and
what other have been saying for years. This has to do with the U.S.
dollar not being backed by gold. The devaluation of the U.S. dollar and other
currencies (remember the U.S. dollar is the standard measure of worth in the global
market) has people buying up gold like crazy, as Jurg says "it's on fire". He
says in a very short period of time the price of gold is going to double. That's a huge
statement to make, not only now in this sensitive moment of crisis, but to make
at all. That's a tremendous jump. He mentions gold jewelry is hard to find in
some places already. I know some mints, such as the U.S. and Canadian, have run
out on certain weights of gold coins.

Brace yourself folks. I don't know how it is in the Scandinavian world, but
the U.S., it seems ever the more so to me, is headed for an ever-deeper crisis. Call it my backpacking
experience, thus, my inclination to outright prepare, but we've already begun to buy
lots of extra cheap food in case it gets really expensive. We're going to be storing extra
heating fuel and gasoline for the vehicles in two days. We don't have much money to begin with, and
we just make it by. With some sacrifice we've been able to save, very slowly, but with the food
prices the way they've already spike up, if they go up anymore it is going to get tough. So we're preparing. Good
thing my wife's mother has lots of canned food from her garden, I mean shelves full. We'll be ok. This might seem
extreme, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Believe it or not, I morally love the people in this forum. I've
cultivated a relationship with everybody here and I just don't want anything sad to happen to anybody.
careful,
be creative,
woods
