Ian and Ron

Thanks a lot, but you bark up the wrong tree. I haven't said a thing
about Relativity's weirdness, just that the Lorentz equations are used
for switching between Newton physics and Relativity and this is a fact
regardless of what Ron says. He quoted Wiki himself:

"In physics, the Lorentz transformation precisely describes
how, according to the theory of special relativity, two observers'
varying measurements of space and time can be converted
into each other's frame of reference ....."

and it says exactly that even "precisely". Today's physicists do this
without stopping to think about relativistic weirdness seen from
Newtonian grounds and vice versa, but when conditions are extreme
only the former calculations work, elsewhere the Newtonian ditto does
the job. It brings space crafts to their destinies, but when it comes to
black holes and such ... alas. There is something similar regarding
Quantum Physics and Newton's, but I'm a bit "rusty" here.

The assertion that the SOL is a "Lorentz transformation" between
SOM and MOQ (between MOQ and its intellectual level) is valid.
Pirsig's (inorg.+ bio.=objects ..etc.) is a formula to link SOM and the
MOQ, but it fails on several points ... and when Pirsig got more and
more problems with this he just skipped SOM. But that's impossible,
SOM or intellect is our static abode, only when things gets "extreme"
we must apply the MOQ and then some transformation procedure is
necessary.
