Ham:
Value sensibility is what you ARE.
Marsha:
If you are saying experience/Quality(Dynamic and static) is what I am, I'm
going to confidently agree and leave it at that. There's no need in my mind
to go any further at the moment. I'm just happy to find agreement.
Regards,
Marsha
You are not Value itself, you only
stand in awe of it. Value, like Sensibility, Truth, Potentiality and
Absoluteness is One in Essence. The individual human being is separated
from this Oneness -- has to be in order to appreciate it peripherally, from
the "outside". The role of the individual self is to be an 'agent' of
Value, that is, value-sensibility.
Pirsig postulated that pure Quality (Value) is "pre-intellectual
experience." This is epistemologically incorrect. We don't "experience"
Value, we "sense" it. What we experience are the phenomena (things and
happenings) that represent pure Value in existence. This experience is
different for each self, which is why my conscious awareness is not your
consciousness. Proprietary experience converts sensible Value into the
appearance of an objective universe relative to the self. Although this
self-constructed valuistic image is our finite cognizance of reality (it
can't be anything more), sensibility draws us to Ultimate Reality, the
source of all experienced beingness.
I hope this makes my ontology clear enough to reach a more confident
decision.
Thanks, Marsha.
