John said to dmb:
Calling a fellow moq'er's words "drivel" really puts you way, way outside the John Carl Stylebook. One of these days you are going to have to actually empirically verify one of your outlandish claims, and then where are you gonna be?

dmb says:
Yea, I know. My harsh reaction probably seems way out of proportion and out of the blue. It goes way back. Ian and I have some history. The guy bugs me now and always has. Actually, it's not really the guy himself. I met him in the flesh once and he seemed like a nice enough person. And it's obvious that we have some interests in common. I'd even go so far as to say that ANYONE interested in philosophy in general and Pirsig's philosophy in particular is all right in my book. But damn. The posts he puts into this forum are pure drivel. Intellectually speaking, at best, it's as healthy as marshmallows and mayo on wonderbread. And just as colorful.
