The trouble with the "documentary" 'The Trap' is that it relies on argument TYPE I rather than TYPE II: 

TYPE I) 

1) Theory A is a Cold-War theory. 

2) Cold-War theories are wrong. 
3) :. Theory A is wrong. 

TYPE II) 
i) Theory A is a Cold-War theory. 

ii) Theory A is wrong. 

iii) :. Some Cold-War theories are wrong.
