*) Pirsig says "creating an intellectual level of their own" (allegedly a
non-S/O one) but that would be like creating a biological level that's
not life. Life on other planets may be not be based on carbon, yet is
"biology", this goes for the inorganic and social levels too, thus the
intellectual level - be it in Greece, India or Proxima Centaurus has to
be the Subject/Object distinction, lest it is seen as a mind with
different ideas, but if so it's back in SOM.

WTF
OBJECTIVISM!
Objectivism holds that reality exists independent of consciousness; that individual persons are in contact with this reality through sensory perception; that human beings can gain objective knowledge from perception through the process of concept formation and inductive and deductive logic
Objectivism (Latin ob- out of and iacio I am throwing, and Greek -ισμος or -ismos the doing of a thing) is a school of philosophy that holds that things in the natural world exist independently of anyone's perception of them or efforts (or lack of effort) to understand them. Objectivism also holds that nothing is provably real that one cannot demonstrate independently of one person's percept of it.
1. Philosophy. One of several doctrines holding that all reality is objective and external to the mind and that knowledge is reliably based on observed objects and events.
2. An emphasis on objects rather than feelings or thoughts in literature or art.
