I knew about the issue at hand about a month ago. And I live in Sweden, and 
have no relation to Canada whatsoever. I also knew that the fact that it is 
formally the Queen (through her  Governor General) that dissolved the 
parliament isn't really that big a deal. True, it might be considered lame 
of the PM to dissolve the parliament (it really is his decision) rather than 
face a vote of none-confidence, which was my original thought, but the 
constitutional chalels through which he does this is not very important.

The reaction you have is "oh, the queen dissolved the Canadian parliament - 
woh, how dictatorial"

good on you.


1. Don't talk about things you know nothing about. Like the Canadian 
constitution for example.
2. Stop basing your "arguments" on what you think that a word means. It's 
just pointless.
3. Just go away.
