I have seen Platt's paintings too.  Wonderful landscapes!  Not long 
ago a painting of a tree, perhaps a weeping willow, near a lake.  I 
looked for it yesterday, but it's gone.  I lost a whole bunch of pics 
when my computer crashed a while back.  Anyway, it was very beautiful.

What I find wonderful is on youtube you can watch artists actually 
paint.  This is fascinating to me because I so love the process of 
painting, the choices, changes, etc.  Did you ever watch The Mystery 
of Picasso?  Absolutely fascinating!   Even if you are not a fan of 
Picasso, to watch him work is amazing.
