Ron,
First, caring about what I think is much appreciated. I care about what
you think, too. But neither one of us is so arrogant as to think we know
better than anyone else what the MOQ really means. We voice our
opinions. That's all. Sometimes we're right, sometimes wrong. The value
is in the exchange. So I see no reason for putting down the other guy.
As they say, we can disagree without being disagreeable.
Secondly, I suspect those in the academy who will be must open to the
MOQ will be in the arts departments. The deal with the inexplicable
every day. If there is hope that MOQ will take hold, it will be there. Or
perhaps in the quantum physics departments. There you'll find the real
curiosity seekers, probing the "aesthetic unknown."
As always, I could be wrong.
