[MD] A Short Pirsig Presentation

This was given for a literature course I took last summer.  The class was on literary modernism and the concept of time, and we were asked to give a short presentation on an outside novel.  I took the easy way out.

The choice in how to present Pirsig, with much talk about classic and romantic and _no_ mention of Quality, was dictated by the focus of the class and the fact that I--supposedly--only had 10 minutes to present and take questions.  I was one of the first to go, and the _only_ to buzz under 10 (I was right at 10).  If only I had known everyone else was going to ignore the rule (and not be punished, no less).
