If you look into the causes and conditions of a pattern, then their 
causes and conditions, and theirs, and theirs, and theirs,,, you can 
only come to the conclusion that all leads to the net-of-jewels, but 
of course even causes and conditions are empty of inherent existence 
and conceptually constructed.  So...

That image of Indras net works so well because it is so precise.
The human nervous system is just such a net.
Pulses of energy flowing through uncountable pathways.
Infinitely interconnected in currents of:
Sensation, emotion, locomotion, ingestion, digestion, elimination...
That wet jeweled net of nerves shimmers with:
Recollections, reflections, and projections.
Association and habits cluster and strobe 
Into patterns of rhythm and mood.

And always at the edge is the fizz of conversion.
Light becoming sight and warmth.
Force becoming sound, touch, motion and space.
Chemistry becoming taste and smell and itch.
They are all fish flopping in the net.
We send them swimming into streams of consciousness
Reformatted and transformed into living ideas flowing through
The intricate structures of our hopes and dreams.

Being "empty of inherent existence" doesn't diminish their power. 
A rose by any other name can still prick your finger.

But that is just the incurable romantic realist in me.
