That won't "end it". It's just burying your head in the sand every 
time it happens. Yeah, I could play nice like you do, but to do this 
I'd have to swallow any sense of shame of I have and just ignore this 
as it happens over and over.

Let's go back to Platt's initial comment. The one I should've just 
"ignored" and looked the other way.

"PC started at colleges with authoritarian speech codes and then 
infected the mainstream liberal media. Of course it's as phony as a 
$3 dollar bill because bad mouthing certain groups like Christians 
and conservatives is not only permitted but encouraged. Witness what 
the left has said recently about the tea parties and Ms. California. 
You even see such demonizing on this site from time to time coming 
from supposedly "tolerant" left-wingers. Hilarious actually. Anyway, 
you are not alone in your condemnation of PC."

This is so full of distortions, lies and disinformation that while 
YOU may not suffer to let it slide, it embarrasses ME to see it 
accepted here, in a philosophy forum, as something that represents us all.

And so my initial rebuttal pointed out two main things (1) Right wing 
PC is just as vile, just as vigorous, just as evil, and just as 
prevalent as the one-sided view that Platt offers (its all a leftist 
thing). (2) Platt is probably the most guilty of anyone here of 
"demonizing" someone else (as he does, hypocritically, in this very 
post). He professes to "condemn" PC, but yet has to answer where his 
outrage was when Maher and the Chicks suffered a far more vitriolic 
PC assault than Ms. California.

So I pointed that out, providing evidence of right-wing 
pc-manipulation, said it was BOTH parties that are guilty of this... 
and since he had no ability to respond to that intellectually, he 
just wrote "the PC-loving Arlo again launches an evil personal attack 
while at the same time claiming tolerance and sensitivity." This is 
not only an outright LIE, but is dishonest in just about every way.

And yet it is ME who's supposed to just ignore it. Just leave poor 
Platt alone. Just turn a blind eye and ignore the deceptive rhetoric 
and outright lies he posts. You're coming after ME for that?? Why not 
come down on Platt for being dishonest or deceptive in his posts? Why 
not come down on Platt for, once again, using asinine talk-radio 
tactics to derail a dialogue all because he found himself unable to 
answer any questions about his assertions?

Hmm?? Oh its Arlo, he should just bury his head in the sand. He's 
just as bad as Platt for calling him out on his deceitful rhetoric?

Right.

Sorry, Marsha, a few posts here and there about "art" don't wash all 
that away for me. Its shameless, and I wouldn't be honest with myself 
if I didn't call it out when I see it.
