Mark to Andre:
Who would determine which morality is correct?
If indeed we have reached the highest level, that is by our intellect
(or concepts without any physical basis), does this give us the need
to use this intellect to direct further evolution?
Or does this level then get overseen by the next level. ?By analogy and
extrapolation, what is the next level?

Andre:
These are tough questions Mark but my gut reaction is that, for
starters, culture (to use Rorty's words) should be dominated by the
ideal of 'aesthetic enhancement' (In McWatt's PhD, p48) and not so
much blind economically based production and consumerism.

It seems to me that 'to use this intellect to direct further
evolution' is a bit premature. The propagation of the MoQ through
various social PoV's (eg educators, politicians, scientific
community, business comunity legislators, etc, etc) is a good start.

I do not believe we need a 'next' level. These four levels are all we
need but...I have never been good at predictions.

Mark:
The point is, that if humans are indeed part of a jump in evolution, are
we then caretakers of the rest of the planet? Solar system? Universe.

Andre:
It seems to me we have difficulty enough in looking after our own
backyards but, seriously, yes. Over the centuries we seem to have
developed the ability to create and modify with an incredible legacy
of destruction in its wake.(land, sea and air). Time to realise we are
this 'aesthetic' referred to above. This place certainly needs
enhancement. To start with this planet, in this enterprise, will keep
us busy for a few years to come yet.

Mark:
It is dangerous, especially in political circles to provide
a basis for our supremacy.

Andre:
Yes, I agree with this.We cannot leave it to the politicians alone,
all of us should become involved. I was more thinking about using
their networks as a base of influence...and these networks seem to be
going everywhere.

Anyway, for what it is worth Mark. It's a big challenge (as the popies say).
Imho

Cheers
Andre
