Platt:
No intentional direction? "Natural selection is Dynamic Quality at work."
(Lila, 11) Sounds like intentional direction to me, from amoeba to man. Or
are you, like Arlo, of the "Oops" school of evolution, or the "survival of
the fittest" school which, as Pirsig points out, doesn't say anything?
Ron:
Well what is natural selection if not survival of the fittest?
undefined betterness? undefined betterness
is still undefined, and betterness simply put, is existing.
Undefined existing. Sounds like "I dont know" to me
Seems to me you hide in generalities and vagueness.
Ron prev:
plus I'm addressing what you are saying not Pirsig. Seems to me you are
splitting hairs as not

Cutting off ones nose to spite their own face so to speak.

Platt:
Fine, if that's what you think. Be my guest. You offer no evidence, however.
Ron:
Your contradictory statements at the begining of this post is not any sort of
evidence? do you even know what your own thoughts are? or are you simply
denying anything Arlo says? thats my question. with plenty of conflicting
statements from you as "evidence". If thats not evidence than you are so dilusional
nothing is any sort of evidence.
Ron:

Platt:
Like what?

Platt:
So you think I understand Pirsig? Thanks for the compliment, I think.
Ron:
OH yea, it's a compliment Platt...it's a compliment alright.
Back to the question, how do you know Pirsig better than your self?
