> Pirsig states that a metaphysics of Quality is a metaphysics of randomness
Platt:
Where does he state this? Let's see a quote.
Ron:
what for? it's in there and besides you'd either evade it or deny it anyway
Ron:
> his breakthough is that we supply the meaning, all experience is value laden
> and meaningful. A value centered metaphysics.
Platt:
We supply the meaning? What does that mean, that we create language
and definitions?
Ron:
Yes, Human Value creates the world we live in.
> Now I'm sure for you, after being raised to believe that a big brother has everything
> planned out for you, the idea of being responsible for your own meaning is quite

Platt:
"Big brother" is government, and it looks like it indeed is trying to plan
everything out for us, including when we need to die.
Ron:
Bigbrother is also God, besides, what changes how the poor elderly die now?
is there any difference? other than some of them have a fighting chance under
the proposed healthcare bill? If you are too poor to afford healthcare you are too
poor to afford health care. How is giving it away free to those who qualify put those
already sentenced to death by our current system in any more jeopardy?
