Two things to keep in mind, the Flux Doctrine was associated with
Heraclitus, never with Protagoras. Plato made that association, some would
say to make Protagoras' Measure Doctrine seem absurd.  Also, perceptions to
Protagoras meant perceptions, perceptual judgements and thoughts.  Plato was
the first recognized to have separated perceptions from perceptional
judgements and thoughts.
