[MD] What's your Quality Balance ratio?

Hi Todd,
I understand this static and dynamic quality in a different way, perhaps.
Quality cannot be divided into static and dynamic as two different
units. The easiest way for me to explain this is using an example from
physics. Physics uses math to describe the observed universe. It
works by breaking things up and creating equalities, much in the same
way that MOQ breaks up Quality into static and dynamic.
In physics there is the Newtonian formula that states F=ma. That is,
a force can be described by mass times acceleration. Both Force
and mass times acceleration are the same thing, but one side is
broken up into components; just like Quality is broken up to describe
it. This doesn't mean that force is made up of mass and acceleration
in an additive way, but is the product of both.
Say mass is static quality, and acceleration is dynamic quality, one cannot
say that there is more mass than acceleration. Acceleration is the change
in velocity, the Force depends on how much mass is acted on. In the same way
we can say that static quality which is acted upon by dynamic quality is Quality.
By this analogy, it would be difficult to say one should live in dynamic
quality more than static.
I'm sure I am not saying anything new, and Pirsig or someone
in this forum has explained this in a different way.
What becomes interesting is if you use calculus and take the derivative of
dynamic quality so that it becomes an unchanging constant. But that is
another story.

RMP states in Lila, (can someone find a reference?) that we need both Static
and Dynamic Quality to be able to advance. In my recent history, I seem to
be operating at about a 95% Static (of all different levels) and 5% Dynamic.
Let's call that 0.95 Static. I have been feeling unfulfilled for a bunch of
different reasons, but wonder if I purposefully increase my relationship
with the Dynamic, will it give me more fulfillment, or just cause more
stress? Is there a balance level that provides enough Dynamic to be happy,
but enough Static to be secure? What goes into determining YOUR level? How
would I "increase my relationship with the Dynamic?" Is this something that
we can consciously affect?
What is your perceived current Quality Balance ratio, and what is your
DESIRED Quality Balance ratio?
Cheers.
