Marsha,

I couldn't agree with you more. The arrogance of many intellectuals 
never ceases to nauseate, like some here who consider other's 
expressions and viewpoints "beneath" them. Pirsig's plain English 
writing and down to earth disposition is truly a breath of fresh air in the 
otherwise fetid atmosphere of intellectual snobbery. His revelation in 
Lila of the social damage done by the intellectual mindset still 
illuminates today's dilemmas.
