Matt:
Another way to apply Arlo's attempt to see what cards people are
holding is to ask:
Okay, granted "once the defining and analysis has started the 'MoQ'
has dropped into the Intellectual Level."
Then: Where was it before? What is this place that the MoQ exists
and Falls from?
I can appreciate you, Marsha, wanting to say just what you want to say,
but I think Arlo just wants to know what you mean. You're defining
"labeling" as different than "definition," which is fair enough, but we
just need to know how and in what respects. For you've also equated
"labeling" with "representing," "denoting," and "signifying." And for
people like myself who are used to understanding "signification" as
something that can only be understood as contextualized in a pattern,
your pattern of labels and denotations seem counterintuitive. To know
what you mean, we need to be helped to understanding how, in the
practical sense of what follows inferentially from what, you find them
intuitive.
