Oh it would be, except that it not original and when we trace the
philosophical roots to Hegel, Marx, Mao, and such we find the consequences
of acting on these principles was not really very funny at all. At least to
the people on the receiving end of the actions and me. You, on the other
hand, may find it, as you say, "pretty damn hilarious."
On the other hand I don't want to sound like an apologist for religion or a
promoter of religious dogma. Nor do I think RMP, or for that matter Hegel,
were advocating the actions of the people who adapted their ideas. However
if you are advocating moral principles that can predictably translates into
bad actions when adapted by those with less subtle reasoning or motives do
you not share some of the responsibility? If not why bother caring about
philosophy, particularly moral ones, at all?
