Right on, Dave Thomas. The whole point of building a monument to religious freedom is to have a public space where people can be forced to worship at gunpoint. The whole point of American liberty itself is to use state authority to force ritualistic compliance. I'm glad you see this point so clearly. And what could do more to show the Islamic world that we are not their enemies than building a giant mosque made of pork? That idea shows a certain kind of diplomatic genius. Gandhi, MLK and thee.
