John:  I think you misunderstand the self that is created in the "me" part
of the "give me, give me".  I think self-realization or knowing can only
happen through a process.

I'm with James and Royce here, consciousness (knowing self) certainly isn't
an entity and probably not a biological entity.  It's a socially created
entity-as-process.

Tha's my thesis and I'm stickin' to it.  The "give me" you quote,
illustrating "lust" stems from an insecurity - a fear.  IF the self was
always fed exactly what it biologically needed, it would never formulate the
pattern of lust.  Only in weaning is desire realized.  Only in the process
of nursing/weaning, is a self brought to realization.

That's my thesis and I'm sticking to it.

Unless I find a better argument against.
