[MD] SQ is the illusion

Hi John,

I've been away for a few weeks and see that some bad things have happened in
my absence. Maybe I'll say something about all that later on - assuming, of
course, that my posts even make it to the list these days?

Anyway

I am really grooving on your post here. It's hard to comment on a post you
agree with, you know? Guess I could insert Yes! Or Well put! every few
lines. Much easier to argue.

For me, Static Patterns are not equivalent to fixed and eternal patterns.
In my MOQ there's no such thing as fixed and eternal patterns. Patterns
are static only in relation to the amount of time they persist. The twist
is that time itself is also just a static pattern. So we have static
patterns defined as such based only on their relationship to other static
patterns.

This is cool. It's dangerous to make claims about DQ, but in an effort to
progress conversation, I would say it is the only thing that is eternal.

Best,
Mary
