Thanks for the challenge, Adrie.

Casted more along the lines of the thread, I think it was Andre, who was
talking about drills and such... but ok, you want the shoe, I'll let you
wear it.

You told me you would honour the possible questions with an answer.

All correct in my memory as well.

Well, first off, thanks for the challenge. A stuck spark plug is not an
easy thing to fix, not at all. I've been thinking about this all day.
Well, when I wasn't thinking about other stuff, but while driving and
helping Lu get the stage ready for this week's play... I was thinking about
spark plugs.

First off, I'd remove the head. I mean if the normal lubricants and heating
didn't work, and I can see how this might happen, especially if perhaps
there is corrosion as well as build up from carbon for some mis-fit reason?
So I'll just assume, as you say, that you're really, really stuck. In that
case, the head is going to have to come off.

Now, there might be fancy ways to get this done, but I'm a fairly simplistic
guy. I'm a carpenter, and we have a saying "get a bigger hammer". I think
I'd try and break the spark plug off, using this fabled hammer. Unless the
head easily allowed access to the spark plug from the ignition side, then I
guess I wouldn't need to break off the plug, and I wouldn't.

Now I'd take a carborendum bit, around 1/8th or 3/16ths and carefully drill
around in a circle, getting a purchase where I could, to drill out the spark
plug in a very brutal and boring fashion, retap the threads and reinstall
according to factory specs.

Might not work for the emperor, but it works for me.

My regards to the emperor,

John
