Hi Arlo,
It would appear that you delete the parts that you do not want to deal
with. So I will keep this short. We can leave it at that if you do
not want to respond. I would appreciate it if you do not delete
anything if you do respond, it just confuses everyone else, and is
quite deceptive.

Western thought is in creating a truth and observing things through
that ideal. It is a top down approach. This is what you are
proposing with your layers of control. I am proposing a Quality up
approach. This turns Western thought on its head. This is what
Quality is supposed to do. Just read the end of ZMM, that is where I
started many years ago. The social level cannot control the
biological level, that would be control through man-made truth which
is impossible. The biological level presents the social level through
Quality. If there is any control at all, it is from the bottom up.
Control is of course a humanist concept.
It seems to me that you are just furthering the Western point of view,
and somehow trying to call it the Metaphysics of Quality. Well it may
be just as you describe it among some in this forum. Just so that we
do not confuse the two, I will call my view Quality Metaphysics. This
would be more in tune with my bottom up approach. Metaphysics of
Quality implies (to me) that Quality can fit into a metaphysical
premise and is subordinate to Truth. I don't think that was where
Phaedrus was going. He spoke about Zen.
If you disagree with this, that is fine. We both have a different
view of Quality. Your is more about Platonism, mine is more about
Tao. I believe my view has higher quality, but, that is of course my
opinion. I do not expect you to agree with it, but there is room for
differences here.
Cheers,
Mark
