Hi Craig,

I agree with you completely.  It is only when Truth is invoked.  I am
not sure how we know what the writer assumes when he uses subjects and
objects.  Do you?

Yes, Pirsig has tried to impart the rising of Quality to subsume SOM.
But this is not clear to the lay person with all the structure that
Pirsig has come up with to make his Metaphysics seem logical.  He
seems to impart these levels as if they were true.  At least that is
what many in this forum seem to believe.  The levels are only
expressions of an analogy.  We should always remember this and not get
stuck in the words that Pirsig uses.
