commonplace.

How does a "hammer" (Platt's example) become "harmonious with reality"? Are
there some hammers that are not? Can you give me a specific person or
institution that is not "harmonious with reality" or "attuned to the world"? 

Let me further clarify. Are rocks "harmonious with reality"? (Non man made
inorganic patterns) What about "frogs"? (non human biological patterns) Are
there cities that are not "attuned to the world"? (large scale social patterns) 

Or is "not attuned to the world" limited to humans and human organizations that
do not embrace "conservatism"?
