I didn't claim Strawson was and expert on the MoQ. Given his background,
education and experience he would be considered by many as an academic
expert in metaphysics. So in the attempt to answer the question, "What do
"real" metaphysical philosophers think about RMP's work?" his take, given
the silence of any others, should at least be considered as representative.
Particularly his opinion in comparing and contrasting RMP's work to the
works of others he should at least be considered to be knowledgeable of the
field of thought out there.

But that is not what this post is about. I just got and am starting to read
"From Knowledge to Wisdom-A Revolution for Science and the Humanities" by a
British philosopher of science Nicholas Maxwell. It was published in 1984
and the latest addition with revisions and additions was published in 2007.
Basically he argues for a more values based approach to science particularly
social sciences. He advocates moving from a philosophy of knowledge to a
philosophy of wisdom by acknowledging need for values to guide the
intellectual process. Looks like it will tie into the MoQ quite well.

It may also help us get over our impasse. Viewing the intellectual level as
wisdom as opposed to knowledge may be an the thing.
