Bo,

I never said anything about "infinite social or intellect" and my
discussions with you over that past several months have not been influenced
by Mangus's ideas. After our discussions had resulted in an impasse several
weeks ago he suggested that he would like me to look at his work on the MoQ
site and startup a discussion. I did and posted my first response a few days
ago to which he has yet to respond.
I am however aware that you have attempted to demonized his thoughts, just
as you have done DMB's. I'm not sure what your beef is with him but DMB's
thoughts, by and large, support RMP's claim that the MoQ is and extension of
radical empiricism and pragmatism.
To on one hand hold up Pirsig's work as the greatest thing since sliced
bread, and on the other claim he totally screwed it up by subscribing any
form of "empiricism" let alone "pragmatism" moves you from being slightly
irrational, to maybe you need to start looking over your shoulder for the, "
hospital staff [and] its henchmen. "
You (and you solely here as far as I can tell) claim RMP to be flat wrong in
this. Couple this with your whole SOL malarkey and other strange warps you
have to do to the meaning of simple words to try and make it work its no
wonder you get and stay crosswise with nearly everyone on the site. Whatever
it is you are promoting in the end it bears little resemblance to Pirsig's
work.
Your obstinacy reminds of the refrain to a Merle Haggard song:
"Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied.
That leaves only me to blame 'cos Mama tried."
We've tried Bo, we've listened and discussed but in the end I at least just
don't see the value in your approach.
Dave
