You Bodvar are fixated on the evil of SOM because you have made it, your SOL, the only intellect(ual) endeavor possible.

Mr. Pisig goes on to say:'The Metaphysics of Quality provides a better set of coordinates with which to interpret the world than does subject-object metaphysics because it is more inclusive. It explains more of the world and it explains it better'.

As you well know Bodvar ( since you have read LILA) before this quote he states: 'There are many sets of intellectual reality in existence and we can perceive some to have more quality than others ( hope you are listening Mary), but that we do is, in part, the result of our history and current patterns of values'.

Remember that the premise of placing Quality, Morals, Value first is an idea. To assume that they are is just that: an assumption. Mr. Pirsig admits it so because he is very very clever.
And I use the word 'just' in this context because of your inability to admire the context within which Mr. Pirsig places it. I really think you are 'blinded by the light'. To wit: your own( though this does occasionally happen to saints...reflections of those mirrors Phaedrus talks about?)

Because he still questions you and you fail to give adequate answers which are the real variations and distortions and manglings necessary to maintain your interpretation? I find Ron very insightful and someone who has the MOQ at heart. He asks good questions because he values the MOQ. I think the signature reference belongs to you my friend.

Just answer his latest query: (I'll summarize): if the MOQ is opposed to SOM, and you have made the intellectual level SOM/SOL where does it leave the intellectual level? Are we back to the social level? This is the kind of sillyness you get yourself into with your reasoning.(and for goodness sake do not emulate Marsha with the Kill all intellectual patterns thing!or, for that matter, the reaching of a Q-level thing)!
