Hi Magnus and all,
 
Logic and mathematics depend upon a defined 1, DQ/SQ.  The logic for the
Evolution of levels depends upon an undefined 1, DQ.  I am seeing
³consciousness² as  beyond the mechanical levels of matter, organic1
(replication by single cell), organic 2 (replication by sperm-egg cell) SQ
evolution.  No way can consciousness be defined.  I am seeing the first
level of consciousness, DQ, the emotional level.
 
Imho Pirsig proposed defined levels evolving in undefined consciousness.
The intellectual level is DQ/SQ.  I do not find it contradictory that the 1
of undefined evolution is as different from the 1 of defined mathematics as
an emotional level DQ is different from an intellectual level DQ/SQ.
 
Perception is different from conception.  In evolution, individuality, the 1
of evolution, needed for the logical distinction between levels is undefined
DQ and not the same as the defined 1 SQ necessary for mathematical logic.
The intellectual manifestation is unbounded in an emotional level and
confusion reigns about evolution when mathematical logic SQ is given
supremacy over DQ. 
 
There is a dual bondage DQ/SQ at the intellectual level.  This leaves open
the possibility of higher emotional and higher intellectual levels which are
mathematically unbounded, DQ only.
 
The social level has boundaries of its own and is not metaphysically
logical.  No DQ, only mathematical SQ.
