Well one thing I've noticed about you Dan, is that you do seem to get riled
easily.  I respect that.  I'll tell you straight up, if the tenure issue
ever came up,  you'd get my vote straight off.  You've definitely earned it.

I agree that Bo is off-base.  I agree he doesn't deserve tenure and oughta
be held to account by those who do hold tenure.  I'm  thinking lately that
that group ought to be bigger than one Horse.  I think it oughta include
Platt and Marsha, as well as you and Ron and Horse and others. at the
minimum and I think any such action as "banning" ought to be by consensus,
and since Platt and Marsha take Bo's side on this, I don't think Bo should
be banned now.

But as far as arguing for intellectual level = SOM, I'm sticking to my guns
and saying that's a terrible idea and an illogical formulation.  But I go
one step further and describe the 4th level of patterned being as a
composite of classic/romantic; yin/yang; science/art that represent's man's
abstracted evolutionary understanding of reality with SOM being just one
patterns within that level, and a minor branch of the classic side of the
level.

But that's my take.
