Right. I saw Ron's posts as a parody of the nonsense that goes on here, an exaggeration of their distortions. It wasn't the sweetest way to make the point but the point is quite valid. 
It could have been a little funnier if his bad interpretations weren't so exaggerated, if his satirical distortions were a little more plausible. But Ron probably figured he had to go WAY over the top or the targets of his humor wouldn't see it as a joke.
