Right Dave,

Any snippet of any work may be twisted to support any old screwed up
interpretation.
No matter how ridiculous. It's just as valid as the next interpretation, if we
stick to trying
to stake a claim on the legitimacy of interpretations.

Glad some thought it was funny

How'd ya like the MoRaT to have the staying power of 11 yrs?

Satire is often nonsensical to those that either don't understand or appreciate
it - and Ron was doing to the MoQ what the SOLists are doing to the MoQ. So if
Ron's is nonsensical the same goes for the SOLists (or is it the SIMians - I'm
starting to lose track of the various nonsensical acronyms being used to rape
and torture Pirsigs work).

Right. I saw Ron's posts as a parody of the nonsense that goes on here, an
exaggeration of their distortions. It wasn't the sweetest way to make the point
but the point is quite valid.

It could have been a little funnier if his bad interpretations weren't so
exaggerated, if his satirical distortions were a little more plausible. But Ron
probably figured he had to go WAY over the top or the targets of his humor
wouldn't see it as a joke.
