We mentioned The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy earlier. In the story
there is this planet where the inhabitants have never thought about the
upward direction. They were confined to the two dimensional spherical plane,
they had never thought about the three dimensional Euclidian space embedding
that plane. But one day they did. I guess THAT would be the DQ in this
approach: that is: adding a new dimension.

That is a good way to put it, adding a new dimension to metaphysics.  It
could also be a paradigm shift, but that term is overused in this country
and is not well understood, I think.  Yes, awareness of Quality as direction
is an added dimension.  Description of that dimension is what we are after.
 As I have suggested, to formulate such a thing is just a tool, not an end
in itself.  What it does, is provide discussion through symbol manipulation.
Such symbols seem to be easier to work with than the vast number of words at
our disposal.  They go right to the heart of the subject, if you will.  I do
understand the reticence by many because such symbol manipulation can lead
to false conclusions which would seem logical, but this happens all the time
in physics.  The end equation must be evaluated as to its significance.  If
nothing else, it leads to further discussion and perhaps insight.
