Hi Tim,

[Tim]
no, I meant ignostic, with an 'i'; I was mainly trying to introduce it
into the mix. It is a term for one who does not recognize the questions
about theism unless things are nailed down with definitions.

[Tim]

so this (insistance on definition) is why ignostic may be fatal to
quality. But, my "..." meant that I would usually go on to say "but I
believe in 'something' ", or, even that I was an "acolyte of
____________ justice", where in the blank I was trying to decide on how
I would differentiate this religious-like justice from common courtroom
justice (I had been saying 'objective', but perhaps this needs some
tightening up). Anyway, I think the similarities between quality and
'something', and between morality and justice, show why I was so smitten
with Lila.

[Mark]
I like the term ignostic. Maybe that is or was what I was or is. To
believe in God or not believe in god had no meaning to me. I thought it was
fine that like to discuss this kind of thing but I have other things to
think about. Like why is god spelled backwards dog?

[Mark]
Now, as I said, I can be convinced. If something truly weird that could do
all these incredible things (miracles) suddenly appeared and said it was
God, then I would certainly believe he existed (after pinching myself of
course). I think that even the radical empiricists would have to be
agnostic in this sense.

Of course we could always say it was some odd time traveling kind of thing
that had figured all this out, or some way advanced species from another
planet that could control if we get into an accident or whether we could be
cured of some rare disease, made to walk again or see again. So either
advanced alien or God, or, of course time traveler with weird antenna.
That's what I would think. Of course I would ask for a pot of gold and a
harem (heh, heh) just to get more proof (science demands such things!). Oh,
and I would make it make me live forever too, almost forgot, that is the
most important proof that I need, wouldn't leave home without it.

I would say that I am a cog in a giant wheel, and without my being here
everything, I mean everything would be different. Everything must fit
together in this reality, that's why it does and everything necessary and
essential is here, not a drop more or less. An extremely essential cog in a
wheel making up the current moment of reality, now that is something to be
proud of. We must pay our respects to everyone and everything for allowing
this reality of NOW.

Thank you Tim, for being you.
