I think that I have only imagined that I have been understanding you. I
may have to go back to square one. Perhaps I will have something in a
few days.
until then I will just address this trivial point to clear it up:

by common usage I merely meant the use of the word 'nothing' in the
relative manner. 'What are you doing?' 'Ohhh, nothing'. Or, 'What are
you plans for the long weekend?" "nothing" or your wife might say, "I
have nothing to wear", amidst a closet full of clothes. etc.
Thanks for the response, I didn't mean to be pushy, just another
misunderstanding, of the word 'shortly'.
