[Platt]
What rights are you talking about. The right not to be offended? Is
that your idea of a right?

[Platt on Oct 5, 2010]
Dutch politician Geert Wilders is being tried for "hate speech." He
is charged with inciting hatred against Muslims. If convicted he
faces up to one year in prison.

[Platt on July 9, 2007]
I'm not a free speech scholar but I think there's a restriction on
speech that incites violence. Flag-burning may come under such a caveat.

[Arlo had asked]
Can you explain the distinction you make between "inciting hatred"
and "inciting violence"?

Do you make any distinction between protests that burn an American
flag, and those that burn a Koran?

[Arlo adds]
Are you reversing your position and saying that flag burning, as
offending as it is to some, is a free speech right that should not be
taken away?
