How do you justify the house saying a prayer in the morning, and 
having a chaplain.

I don't. I think prayer should be something left to the individual to 
do on their own time. But since this is okay with you, maybe we 
should change the chaplain to an Imam and the prayer should be to 
Allah. Then we'll see how loudly Tea Bagger clamor for a "wall of separation".
