Ian said to Krimel:

You'll have to decode all that coding stuff. I use shorthand for brevity, not to offend, on the basis that we have a lot of dialogue behind us already.

Because Krimel wrote:
I find your code talking offensive. Over use of punctuation and ending sentences with some presumed inside knowledge, it is smug pretentious drivel that require enormous effort to delete.

dmb says:
Krimel has a point, I think, although the code talk doesn't offend me so much as it confuses me. I think it's not just me. It's simply an objective, scientific fact that your style is clipped, cryptic and equivocal. You make the reader work very hard and the pay off is never worth it. Is it really so hard to write in complete sentences and without presuming your reader knows arcane trivia like, for example, that "EvoPsych" is a dirty word? You never did say who thinks its dirty or why they think its dirty and I certainly don't know what relevance that's supposed to have anyway. This is still true now, even after you responded to my confusion with a further elaboration. I mean, i just let it go for lack of enthusiasm but I still have no idea what you were trying to say.

Just so you know. I wasn't pretending to not understanding. The code talking really doesn't work and you should care about that if you want to be understood. Aren't you supposed to be some kind of communications consultant? Of all the people who should know better... Jeez.
