beauty queen would likely be seen as ugly and starved in many cultures. 

Nonetheless, are you suggesting that "attractiveness" is a genetic feature? Or
a socially-induced genetic feature? How would this account for the
"pre-contact" comparison between cultures? Is this a universal-social
phenomenon?
