[MD] Changes in 2011

Hi Magnus, Horse,
Certainly a more actively moderated forum is needed for the "difficult
stuff". A "noisy" MD list can be a good source of seeds (grains of
sand), but it's a poor place to develop ideas or progress arguments
(into pearls).
(I've made suggestions on-list before and volunteered off-list to
Horse to help anyway he needs.)
