I hate to tell you this, Marsha, but that was your "IN". You got
completely stuck in words, and now miss the whole point of what Pirsig
is presenting. You are confused between the intellectual level using
SOM and being SOM. This is like equating a carpenter to his tools.
You do know that the carpenter and his tools are two different
concepts right?

Where is the SOM for imaginary numbers? They are not objects, they
provide answers. Where is the SOM in the revelations of a koan?
These revelation are much more than the words presented. Where is the
SOM in the paradigm shift that Einstein had. That it was expressed
through SOM does not mean that that intellectual level occurrence was
SOM. I suppose that you think that the sum total of what you are is
what you write through SOM. Give yourself a break, you are much more
than that.

By the way, do poets operate through the Intellectual Level? Is what
they present SOM? Go listen to poetry in a coffee shop for a change
in attitude. Stop dissecting and classifying everything, that is all
that SOM can do. Marsha, you are STUCK. Stop using Aristotelian
logic, we are moving way beyond that. You have been here way too long
to have any excuses.

Cheers,
Mark
