Marsha said to dmb:

You continually present that I am anti-intellectual, but it seems to be just what you think, because you never substantiate your accusations by presenting an actual quote where I denigrate intellectual patterns, WITH the post identifying the quote's context.

dmb says:
Everything you post in this forum is evidence of your anti-intellectualism, including all the misunderstood quotes you post and today is no exception. Everything is always about killing static patterns, which you take literally instead of figuratively. Pirsig means that static patterns should be practiced and mastered until they are second-nature but you never pass up a chance to denigrate, undermine and destroy intellectual static patterns or otherwise act as if thinking itself was your mortal enemy.

Your denials of this anti-intellectualism are not even remotely plausible. There are at least a thousand pieces of evidence in the archives. I'd be surprised if anyone could find just one nice thing you've ever said about intellectual quality. I think the full range of your contemptuous attitude extends from a begrudging admission that it can be useful and dismissive scoffing to downright hateful. But I do not recall a single drop of admiration, "love" or respect in anything you've ever said.

Marsha's usual pattern, as seen today:
I "love" epistemology and metaphysics, philosophy in general, and above all others the MoQ, but still I agree with the saying:
All conditioned dharmas Are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows, Like dew drops and a lightning flash. Contemplate them thus.
“When we confine ourselves to a bubble, a cocoon, a limited sphere, it’s difficult for us to see that _all_ our conceptual knowledge floats on the surface of the vast sea of Reality, which contains a myriad of other bubbles. And from inside any bubble, it’s hard to realize that Truth is _seen_ only when our bubble breaks.”(Hagen, Steve, 'Buddhism Is Not What You Think').
"While sustaining biological and social patterns Kill all intellectual patterns. Kill them completely And then follow Dynamic Quality And morality will be served."(RMP,'LILA', Chapter 32)
