Hi Andre,

You are wanting to change the subject from an I-less mindfulness and its imagined conflict perennial philosophy to a "moral self"?

Remember the understanding which first broke through in Phaedrus's mind when he had integrated science and ethics into a single system? He became quite manic about this (see Chapter 12 in LILA).

I realize that you do not consider your 'self' to be a representative, a carrier, a manifestation of static moral patterns of value. All, in the end, is meaningless because it is grounded in emptiness.

Marsha:
There is Quality(Dynamic/static), not another substance called self. The 'Marsha' and 'self' and 'I' and 'mine' and 'my' are merely nominal conventions labeling a stream, or flow, of value patterns. These terms are pragmatically used for social discourse. Static (patterned) value, of course, is moral.

Some patterns are better than others. Value is moral, what is your problem?

> I do not wish to continue this 'discussion' with you. Your stance on this discuss, to me is reprehensible. It comes over to me as the 'negative' side of Quality...pure flatland.

What does "Unlike subject-object metaphysics the Metaphysics of Quality does not insist on a single exclusive truth." (LILA, Chapter 8) mean to you?

I don't "fail to recognize". I fail to be willing to replace my understanding with your being stuck on social level morality.
