[MD] The hard question

Joe,
Obviously Pirsig has never heard of synchronicity as expounded by CJ
Young and Lao Tsu. Now therein lies true mystical thought, there sure
ain't no puzzle pieces thar! Just read some of the passages by
Eckhart or Bohme (as they are easy), to get a feel for DQ. Puzzle
pieces are not very mystical, and help one avoid thinking of Quality
as unity. However, this is, after all, MoQ, and nobody said anything
about being mystical, there are rules to follow. One must do his/her
best to try to explain within those rules.
What are puzzle pieces for MoQ, are not for the mystics (in fact such
a thing would sound silly). The notion of puzzle pieces is, of
course, the application of SQ to SQ/DQ, which we know is doomed to
misinterpretation. So puzzle pieces should not be confused with
something else, it is just an analogy, just like DQ has nothing to do
with trains, whatsoever. And of course, DQ has nothing to do with the
event of mixing of paint from a pallet; it is all analogy in case
somebody was taking this all too literally and getting upset.
