Ant, as a Brit with little exposure to American politics, do you really want
to get into a discussion with me on Barack Obama? I suspect you're pulling
my leg, for if you've had occasion to read my weekly Value Page, you would
know that my views are conservative all the way.

Obama has been a disaster for America. This has nothing to do with his
intellect or alleged "balanced and careful" deliberation. Rather, it has to
do with his leftist ideology absorbed from early Marxist training, his
Keynsian "pump priming" approach to restoring the economy, and his
demonstrably anti-capitalist agenda.

For the past four years, we Americans have been subjected to the first
imperial presidency in our history ...a Commander in Chief of dubious origin
who has never been on a company payroll and has managed to keep only one of
his promises to the voting public—to transform America (into a welfare state
and nationalizing everything he could get control of), while making a
mockery of "government transparency", job creation, fiscal accountability,
border security, and international relations.

Currently he has invoked "executive privilege" to exempt his attorney
general Eric Holder from a contempt of Congress charge for failing to turn
over documents pertaining to the "Fast and Furious" coverup.

And you hope I'm giving Obama my support!?

Did you ever read what Obama's minister of 20 years preached in that church?

That makes funny copy for the liberal press, I suppose. But, as you'll
recall, I didn't bring up Obama up in this discussion ...you did.

Cheers 'n chuckles,
Ham
