[MD] Why are things called patterns?

Hi Marsha
I know you don't easily (!) submit and this is something that I regard
with great respect. I mean that sincerely. I may disagree with you in
many ways but I still accept that you have a point of view and continue
to give you a platform to express that point of view.
I think there are very few on this forum (although there are some) who
are not guilty of abusive behaviour (and to be fair both you and I can
be counted in this majority for whatever reason) and it is something
that I have tried to stop in the past. However, short of having a
moderated forum or kicking the majority off the list I'm not sure what
else I can do to stop this.
I would much prefer to see a less hostile approach to all of our
discussions and don't accept that abuse is a necessary part of this
approach.
I also accept that there have been times when I have been harsh towards
you, unreasonably so in some cases, but you're still here and still
presenting your point of view. I think that counts for something.
As list admin. I try to interfere as little as possible but when I feel
I need to make comments or admonish I do so and will continue to do so.
I intend to run MD the way I think is best.
While browbeating may be subjective it certainly goes on from various
quarters and I consider various forms of abuse, harassment and
aggressive questioning etc. to be forms of browbeating.
Anyway, enough for now.

If you do not understand what I say, figure it out for yourself, and have the experience for yourself, too. There's nothing I can tell you. In general, I am quite tired of you.
