Mark: When you put your hand in the shower to see if it is warm enough,
that is science. When you add salt to taste, that is science. Science is
simply human behavior. As such it cannot be bad, unless we are all living
in sin....
Science is given a bad reputation by a few bad apples. Science is also
given a bad reputation by politicians and reporters, who use "science" to
try to seem right and thus get more power. Reporters view themselves as
the teachers of reality. They have elevated themselves to a mighty
position, even worse than scientists. Reporters consider themselves to be
the judge and jury of human events. Politicians come from that breed of
humanity that is saddled with vanity and the lust for power. It is a shame
that we entrust our very society to this breed of human.
Scientism is SQ, and has no heart. It is based on promissory materialism
and expects the rest of us to trust in its methods for finding the truth.
We all know about Truth.
